Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, motivated Veterinary Assistant who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and hospital cleanliness.

The ideal candidate is team-oriented, proactive, and able to follow through on responsibilities with consistency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
  • Safely and effectively restrain animals for examinations and treatments.
  • Perform venipuncture and assist with placement of IV catheters (preferred but not required).
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas.
  • Clean and disinfect kennels, equipment, and hospital areas consistently throughout the day.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and report any changes promptly.
  • Support daily patient care including feeding, walking, and maintaining comfort.
  • Accurately follow treatment plans and ensure tasks are completed fully.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with workflow using hospital systems.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a veterinary hospital or animal care setting preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques.
  • Experience with venipuncture and IV catheter placement is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
